Great Wolf Resorts has announced they have plans to open their first location on the west coast.
Great Wolf Lodge KidCabin Suite
The 600-suite Great Wolf Lodge property will be built in Garden Grove, California, less than two miles southwest of Disneyland. It will have a 100,000-sq-ft indoor water park, along with 30,000-sq-ft of meeting space.
The company operates twelve locations in North America, mostly throughout the midwest and northeast U.S. Its suite configurations range from a sleeping area with a separate sitting area to full suites with mini-kid’s suites within.
I stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, and had so much fun in the onsite water park with my friend, her daughter and her daughter’s friend. Even better was when we got back to the room and the kids went into their KidCabin and my friend and I could sit and relax a bit.
The California property’s development is set to begin in 2011. No opening date has been set.
With its close proximity to Disneyland and other southern Los Angeles attractions, the new property should prove to be popular with vacationing families.
